Amazon Web Services went through a major outage on Wednesday afternoon that affected millions of Internet of Things (IOT) devices ranging from doorbells to thermostats and thousands of websites and online services all across the web.

Amazon Web Services went through a major outage on Wednesday afternoon that affected millions of Internet of Things (IOT) devices ranging from doorbells to thermostats and thousands of websites and online services all across the web.

Almost every single cloud-based software app that relies on Amazon Web Services or their backend are currently impacted, from Auto desk to Flickr and even from Roku to Adobe Spark.

The media outlet reported that other impacted services include smart devices, which are currently failing to connect to their private clouds, streaming and podcast services that are currently limiting users all around the world from accessing their accounts, and even cryptocurrency portals, which are failing to properly process transactions.

Among the sites that are reporting issues on the DownDetector page are services like Chime, Prime Music, Roku, MeetUp.com, Ring, League of Legends, Pokemon Go, Anchestry.com and many others.
