Stock Market Closes Trading Session with Gains

The US stock market jumped as investors anticipated a 2021 economic recovery COVID-9 vaccine progress and the clearance for President-elect Joe Biden’s transition.

The US stock market jumped as investors anticipated a 2021 economic recovery COVID-9 vaccine progress and the clearance for President-elect Joe Biden’s transition.

On Tuesday, the Dow Jones surged 454.97 points, or 1.5 percent, to close at 30,046.24, while the S&P 500 jumped 1.62 percent to close at 3,635.41 and the Nasdaq 100 added 156.15 points, or 1.31%, to close at 12,036.79.

In Asia, the HSI jumped 0.39 percent to be at 26588.20, while Japans’ NIKKEI jumped 2.50 percent to be at 26165.59, and China’s SHANGHAI fell 0.34 percent to be at 3402.82. Meanwhile, the STOXX jumped 0.89 percent to be at 3085.70, and the FTSE jumped 1.58 percent to be at 6432.17.

In commodities, oil prices fell 0.20 percent to be at $44,82 per barrel, while natural gas prices fell 0.31 percent to be at $2,89 per BTU.

Meanwhile, platinum prices jumped 0.49 percent to be at $963,01 per ounce while copper prices jumped 0.20 percent to be at $3,31 per pound. Also, gold prices fell 0.03 percent to be at $1,804 per ounce and silver prices fell 0.15 percent to be at $23,26 per ounce.

In currencies, the Euro fell 0.3197 percent to be at $0,8418 per US dollar, while the Yen jumped 0.0096 percent or 0.0100 points, and the Sterling fell 0.1999 percent to be at $0,7490 per US dollar.
