Case of COVID-19 Reinfection Discovered in Portugal

A 47-year-old woman in Lisbon, Portugal was reinfected with the coronavirus.

A 47-year-old woman in Lisbon, Portugal was reinfected with the coronavirus.

According to Publico, the woman is reportedly the first person in the country to be infected.

The woman had COVID-19 symptoms in early July and tested positive soon after. 

She recovered 15 days later, with tests no longer detecting the virus in her system.

However, in October, she started to get COVID-19 symptoms again, and a test soon after was able to confirm this. 

Cases of reinfection are continuously growing globally, raising concerns about immunity.
