Israel Strikes Iranian Forces in Syria After Explosives Found on Border

The Israeli military had struck the Iran-backed targets in Syria due to the explosives that the soldiers had discovered on the Israeli-Syrian border on Tuesday.

The Israeli military had struck the Iran-backed targets in Syria due to the explosives that the soldiers had discovered on the Israeli-Syrian border on Tuesday.

After the discovery of the explosives, engineering teams quickly neutralized it. 

According to Brigadier General Hidai Zilberman, the IDF spokesperson, Israel had attacked eight (8) targets, including “arms depots, military headquarters and compounds and surface-to-air missile batteries” in response to the discovery of the explosives. 

“The IDF struck military targets belonging to the Iranian Quds Force and the Syrian military in response to the explosives left on the Syrian border, within Israeli territory.” The Defense Minister Benny Gantz said. “The Syrian regime is responsible for everything that is done from its territory and within its territory.”

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 10 people were killed in the strike. 

The organization has added that the resulting casualties were “Syrian, Arab and Iranian.”
