The US stock market jumped in Tuesday’s pre-market trading session as optimism grew among investors after Pfizer announced positive results about its COVID-19 vaccine. Futures for the Dow Jones rose 244 points or 0.8 percent, while S&P 500 futures jumped 0.6 percent and futures tracking the Nasdaq100 fell 1.6 percent.

Futures for the Dow Jones rose 244 points or 0.8 percent, while S&P 500 futures jumped 0.6 percent and futures tracking the Nasdaq100 fell 1.6 percent.
In Asia, the HSI jumped 1.10 percent or 285.31 points, while Japan’s NIKKEI jumped 0.26 percent or 65.75 points and China’s SHANGHAI fell 0.40 percent or 13.59 points.
In European markets, the STOXX jumped 0.79 percent or 23.95 points and the FTSE jumped 1.27 percent or 78.27 points.
In commodities, oil prices jumped 1.12 percent to be at $40,70 per barrel, while natural gas prices jumped 1.02 percent to be at $2,89 per BTU.
Meanwhile, platinum prices jumped 1.10 percent to be at $876,90 per ounce and copper prices fell 0.76 percent to be at $3,13 per pound. Also, gold prices jumped 1.20 percent to be at $1,876 per ounce and silver prices jumped 2.32 percent to be at $24,25 per ounce.
In currencies, the Euro jumped 0.0945 percent to be at $0,8472 per US dollar, while the Yen fell 0.1329 percent or 0.1400 points and the Sterling fell 0.7899 percent to be at $0,7536 per US dollar.
