Brazil has also suspended trials for CoronaVac, the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech, after a “serious adverse event” regarding a volunteer.
Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency- Anvisa has “decided to interrupt the study to evaluate the data observed so far and judge the risk / benefit of continuing the study”.
Brazil is still the country with the second highest number of deaths following the United States, and the third country with the most number of cases after the US and India, based on the latest data from the John Hopkins University CSSE.
