Amer Snobar, an 18-year-old Palestenian, died early Sunday after being pursued by Israeli troops in the West Bank, however, the circumstances surrounding his death are still being debated.

According to the relatives of Amer Snobar, the Israeli troops had beaten him to death, while the Israeli army claimed that Snobar hit his head after he fell while the troops were chasing him.

The Israeli army attempted to arrest Snobar after receiving reports that Palestinians were throwing stones at several vehicles on a West Bank highway near Ramallah.

Snobar’s accomplice managed to escape when they attempted to flee from the Israeli troops.

Doctors performed an autopsy on Snobar’s body at the Ramallah Hospital.

The doctors were able to find signs of trauma to Snobar’s head and back due to his fall and his chest due to the Israeli troops’ resuscitation attempts, said Dr. Ahmed Bitawi, the hospital’s director.

Dr. Rayyan al-Ali, who conducted the autopsy on Sunday, announced that it could take a week to find the real cause of death.
